Horta Boa Vista is a foundation that aims to make the Island of São Nicolau self-sufficient in food and energy. We do that based on a lot in Cabeçalinho, São Nicolau, Cabo Verde. There we are creating a beautiful orchard of abundance based on permaculture principles and agroforestry.
Permaculture is a system of agricultural and social design principles centred around simulating or directly utilizing the patterns and features observed in natural ecosystems.
In this orchard we are going to share our knowledge on permaculture and entrepreneurship with the people from São Nicolau, visitors and guests by creating an education and inspiration centre.
Though the problems of the world are increasingly complex, the solutions remain embarrassingly simple. – Bill Mollison – [Co-Founder of Permaculture]
The foundation also needs to be self-sufficient. Therefore we offer you an unique back to basic glamping & tiny house experience in our orchard. A form of ecotourism which helps conveying the power of permaculture and provides the foundation with a way of covering the cost of the centre.
From the tent and the tiny house you have a magnificent view on the Atlantic ocean. Drinking water comes from a natural spring. The rural setting makes this place an ideal getaway to wind down and get back to basic.
